If through your travels across Sri Lanka you have stumbled upon a discovery that you think belongs here, I am happy to include it and have you featured as a guest author. You will receive full credit for all content provided. Articles I am interested in generally fall within two categories (see below), bringing your own writing style and personality with individual critiques and recommendations.

Serendipity this week

Submit your best photo captures of Sri Lanka. If selected, your entry will be featured on my homepage for a week (beginning midnight on Sunday). You will receive full credit for the post, including a link to your website or Flickr photostream.

To be featured please email the below requirements to weeklyphoto@discovering-serendipity.com, I shall respond and confirm when your feature will run. Multiple submissions are welcome.

Requirements and guidelines:
1. You photo submission and a title. The subject can be anything on Sri Lanka — People, Wildlife, Places, events, etc
2. A short description (less than 150 words), why it captures the essence of Sri Lanka or gave you a lasting impression of your trip
3. Your details: Name, link (your website of Flickr stream), twitter and facebook account (if you want them listed)
4. Photographs should be taken by you and you should its full copyright

Post a Discovery

These articles should be rooted in facts, featuring either nature & wildlife, a historical site, things to-do at a certain town or a Sri Lankan cultural experience (e.g. Kandy Perahera,  ‘Yakan Natima’ or Devil Dance ritual, Weddings). Each post should be supplemented with high-quality photographs, taken by yourself and not downloaded from elsewhere.

Primary focus: Your photography. Notable facts and key interests of the feature. Your personal critique and recommendations.
Additional elements: Feel free to mention who you visited or experienced it with. Tell us how you got there, how much you it cost you, and any special dress code requirements.
